Jumeirah signs deal to manage luxury hotel in Bangkok.
Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, has signed a deal with Country Group (Thailand) to manage a luxury hotel in the heart of Bangkok. The management agreement was signed by Gerald Lawless, Executive Chairman of Jumeirah Group, and Ben Taechaubol, Managing Director of Country Group, at a ceremony this week.
The 305-room, five-star Jumeirah Bangkok will be sutuated on prime Chao Phraya river water front land, close to the Sathorn Bridge and Bangkok’s central business bistrict. With its 200-metre water frontage, the urban resort will be easily accessible from the expressway or by boat through in-house docking stations. The hotel is designed to offer a peaceful environment for business and leisure travelers in the middle of bustling Bangkok.
The concept for Jumeirah Bangkok was developed by the architectural firm Hamiltons International from Singapore in conjunction with U.K.-based interior design firm United Designs. The luxury hotel will form the iconic centrepiece of a mixed-use development that integrates international and local Thai styles.
