The second annual Alternative Ownership Conference Hotels and Resorts Asia Pacific (AOCAP) ran October 11th and 12th in Phuket and featured as speakers leading gurus in the field of shared ownership from around Europe, Africa, the US, and Asia Pacific.

Representatives from exchange systems, industry associations, branded operators, trustees, and research consultancies attended the conference. The lineup of speakers included Joseph Hickman (Executive Director of Interval International), Laura Younger (Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council (ATHOC)), Douglas Wylie (Senior Legal Counsel of RCI), Hans Jürgen Eggerss (General Counsel, Hapimag), and Dom Albanese (Marriott Vacation Club International). Property Report South East Asia managing editor Andrew Batt also spoke.

“The global economic crisis has provided an opportunity to hotel and resort owners, and real estate developers, to review their business models, look at new trends and alternative revenue streams. We are proud to attract such a prestigious line-up of speakers at AOCAP 2010 and are sure all delegates will benefit from their experience and knowledge,” said Bryan Lunt, CEO Absolute World Group, the founding sponsor of AOCAP.
