SERIOUSLY, has there ever been a longer title for a show? At 12 or 13 syllables, depending on how you pronounce ''Australia'', LifeStyle's latest adaptation of a British property format - Location, Location, Location Australia - hardly rolls off the tongue. ''Our rule is 40 letters, which is how many letters you can get on the EPG [electronic program guide] and we just got on,'' says LifeStyle's director of commissioning, Emma Westcott.

Unwieldy title aside, the show looks a safe bet for the channel. It has a successful adaptation of its sister program Relocation Relocation under its belt, with the same hosts, Bryce Holdaway and Veronica Morgan. In fact, it's a surprise LifeStyle didn't opt to make a local version of Location, Location, Location first. Relocation has a restricted format, dealing with people opting for a sea change. Location is simply about people trying to buy a house and, with two couples an episode, it's a snappier proposition.

Westcott, who worked on both original formats in Britain, agrees: ''I think Location, Location is better for the Australian market. You get more properties in it, you can do first-time buyers and empty-nesters and you just get a great snapshot of what's going on in the Australian property market. Relocation was more about: 'I've got this miserable, hideous life.'
