Buyers believe Australian property market is ripe for the picking
The research, conducted by The Australian, revealed that more than half of participants believe that now is the ideal time to enter the market.
Despite a tough year for the sector, with house prices seemingly on a downward spiral, auction rates have been improving over the last couple of months, indicating an upswing in the market.
According to the newspaper, in Sydney weekend auction rates have stayed above 60 per cent during the last two months, which is the longest run since autumn 2010. Melbourne has also enjoyed similar clearance rates.
