POLL - Hungarian real estate sector not forlorn about future yet

Portfolio.hu's latest real estate market survey has spawned ambiguous results. According to expectations, the office market will succeed in taking up the nearly 500,000 square metres to be added to the offer by 2009, while rental fees are likely to retreat some. While the market projects declining rental fees on the logistics market, rental fees in malls and downtown shops are to rise in the following two years.

First passive building to complete in 2008

The construction of Hungary’s first office building with a zero forint heating bill will start next spring and finish at the end of 2008, said Attila Béleczki, managing director of the contractor Bauland Kft at a press conference jointly held by Bauland and Germany’s BASF AG.
