The Bangkok property market has seen a significant recovery from the effects of the floods, according to CBRE Thailand a leading international real estate service provider. Even the worst hit areas such as low rise housing, retail and industrial in areas that were flooded have seen resumed activity. In the flooded areas, all retail centres have reopened, there were new housing sales and the majority of factories have reopened or are in the process of reopening.

CBRE global office rent and capital value indices stabilize in Q4 2011

The CBRE Global Office Rent and Global Capital Value Indices held steady in Q4 2011, increasing by only 0.48 per cent and 0.44 per cent, respectively, according to new data from CB Richard Ellis, the world’s largest commercial real estate advisor. Compared with year-end 2010, the indices measured increases of 5.0 per cent for Global Rent and 8.2 per cent for Global Capital, reflecting stronger growth in the first half of 2011.

Australia property prices continue to fall

Capital city property prices in Australia continued to fall in April as high interest rates and floods early in the year in Queensland continue to have a negative impact on demand, with the top end of the market the poorest performer, according to the latest RP Data-Rismark Hedonic Home Value Index.
